What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin, durable shells that cover the front of your teeth. We believe that your smile is as unique as a fingerprint, which is why we offer customized veneers to create a smile that is truly yours.
Our team takes the time to fully understand your goals before we craft your veneers because everyone has different needs and desires. You may have severe discoloration and want veneers to create a bright smile, or you may have a single tooth that is smaller than the others and want one veneer to change the appearance for an even smile. We combine decades of experience and a gentle chairside manner to give you a smile you will love with our porcelain veneers.
What Can Porcelain Veneers Fix?
A common misconception about veneers is that they are only for people who want a Hollywood smile. However, veneers are an incredibly versatile dental treatment that can address many issues. Porcelain veneers can be used to correct the appearance of a tooth that is slightly crooked or to cover gaps between your teeth.
Our custom veneers are also used to conceal deep discoloration as well as chipped or worn teeth. They may be used to make up the difference in length if you have a tooth that is smaller than the rest of your natural teeth. We also use veneers as a treatment in a smile makeover. You can choose a single veneer or up to ten veneers for your upper or lower arches.
Our Veneers Process
During your consultation, we will perform a gentle and thorough exam of your teeth, jaws, and gums. We use the information to create a treatment plan that is customized to fit you, your needs, and your lifestyle. Our team will include any necessary pretreatments, addressing issues such as gum disease. If veneers are part of a larger treatment like a smile makeover, we will show you a wax-up of the final results of your new smile.
Next, we send the detailed information we collected from the exam, including measurements and your customized veneer color, to a trusted lab to create your porcelain veneers. It takes approximately two weeks for your personalized veneers to be created. Once we receive your veneers, we will have you return to our office for the placement.
The process consists of our dentist carefully buffing away some of the enamel from your teeth and securing your veneers in place. Once complete, you will leave our office ready to share your new smile confidently.
Veneers FAQs
We believe that knowledge is power, which is why we encourage you to ask questions and share your concerns. Our team is happy to provide the answers and information you need to empower your decisions regarding your oral health. Here are some of the most common questions we receive about porcelain veneers.
The cost of porcelain veneers depends on the number of veneers you choose. If you're interested in veneers but are concerned about the cost, call our office, and we will discuss your options. We work with a number of PPO insurance companies, CareCredit®, and a local company that offers financing.
Veneers are extremely durable and can last for 10-15 years when properly cared for. Our friendly dentist will provide instructions and tips to extend the longevity of your veneers.
Porcelain veneers are easy to care for because you will simply brush and floss your teeth twice daily. It is important to avoid biting hard things like ice, nuts, cans, or bottles because these will damage your veneers.
